Imagine yourself just after an Ayurvedic treatment: You are completely relaxed on this late afternoon and you are aware that you should grant your body some well-deserved rest, however you would also like to enjoy the warm breeze proceeding a beautiful sunset. Our new Open Air Lounge with its traditional Thattukada tea stall invites you to enjoy both, you merely have to settle down comfortably and let relaxation set in.

Thattukada means “small shop on wheels” in Malayalam and our chef has made it his task to treat our guests with delicious herbal teas, buttermilk and small Ayurvedic delights. All the treats are free of charge for our Ayurveda guests. If you have to keep a strict diet, your doctor will be happy to advise you, whether you might try something from our tea stall.

Next time you are in Somatheeram you should get yourself a tasty beverage and relax on one of the seaview sunbeds. Thattukada is open daily between 3:00 – 5:00 pm, although you may certainly use the Open Air Lounge at any other time as well as you please. It is located next to the beach gate, which makes it a perfect stop over on the way from or to the beach.

Be sure not to miss out on that!
