Njavarakizhi is composed from the words Njavara (= medicinal rice) and Kizhi (= bolus). During this therapy, fabric bags are dabbed and rubbed over the entire body in a rapid rhythm by two experienced therapists. These little bags contain rice pudding which has been cooked in a herb stock. The ingredients restore harmony to your body chemistry.

Ayurvedic rice bag massage rejuvenates and revitalises the internal organs and more besides. Njavarakizhi also restores the body’s strength and stability. The therapy slows the ageing process, gives your complexion a radiant appearance and soothes the nerves. Stress is reduced, sleep promoted and the immune system strengthened.
